Thanks for sharing.

I'll still take the GT3 in a heartbeat though.

And the X51 option or whatever they call it now for the 991.

If the 991 was equipped with a PDK, I doubte it would be slower

Rockingham does not look like a track with a lot of shifting going on. Doubt if the PDK would get you the 2-3 sec. edge. Sticky tires might do the trick though..

I'm surprised he said the steering feedback was as good as the 997. I might be used to patchwork tracks like TWS where texture matters.

That also surprised me. He even said the trans feel was very good, when others have said it feels a bit odd compared with a 997.

recall the 991 w/ PDK = the gt3 on the ring. Unsure if the 991 had PCCB and the active roll bar thingy .

it was the color of the GT3 that made it faster!

(sadly) I suspect that if the 991 was on the same rubber and had PCCB it would match the GT3 ... even if its white...

mostly 3-4 with a couple of 2's ... once you are in the "infield" there is a lot of "point and squirt"-ing going on ... so torque/acceleration is important

GTR is even faster, but I'm not sure its progress in the direction I want to see. Though at least they are staying on a better path for driving enthusiasts, unlike BMW.

Another, and perhaps a better test, would be to put a novice driver (who knows the track) at the wheel of each for lap timing and then see what happens..........

Tiff doing what he does best. Sibling rivalry, I see.
The 991s is an impressive machine (I drove it and it's fast), but even if the time results were reversed, I doubt it would replicate the sheer raw driving experience of the Mighty GT3.
