Never seen or heard of Gulf1000. I used Motul 660 and it was great. I switched to ProSpeed 683 late last year and it is really good to...maybe even better due zero boil issues and Prospeed is supposed to be great for the rubber seals too. No need for Castrol SRF in my opinion unless you just have money to burn and that's what you want.

Isn't 683 basically the same price as SRF?

683 is $30-40 for 500ml
SRF is $70 for 1L

Here's a link for the Gulf stuff:

I've been using this Endless stuff (997 Cup factory fill) in my 73 911 and Mitsubishi Evo 9 with excellent results:

buy 683 from Clark at Apex Performance.....I just like 683. If I decide I don't like the price I'll go back to Motul 660...it worked just as good.

Derek, Gulf 1000 is available at Lauzon and Perry Auto locally. I use it and it works fine. So did Motul 660 mind you.

Bob,
I bought the Gulf 1000 at Perry yesterday and had it installed at Prestige...good to go for the upcoming DE.

Gulf 1000 and Motul RBF660 are exactly the same brake fluid. They are both produced/private labeled by Orthene Chemical in the UK. Both are what I would consider to be mid-quality brake fluids.

+1 on Endless. It's the best fluid I've ever used.

Actually the Endless fails several of the DOT 4 standards in rather dramatic fashion.

I use Prospeed 683 and like it fine. It's made in America; I like to support quality products made in this country.

Because it's a motorsports racing fluid, with DOT 5.1 based specifications, but not approved at any standard as far as I know. Like I said, it gives the best pedal feel and performance I've ever experienced from a brake fluid.

My race shop uses Endless. I've used it for two seasons in my race car and recommend it to all who ask.

Endless in the 2010 GT3. Seems to be very good pedal feel(hard) with no fade at all. After all it is the factory fill for the cup cars and what the PMNA recommends the cars run.
