I guess he changed his mind...

None of this will make any difference to Ferrari. I'm just an irrelevant Limey who doesn't really matter. But I've had enough of concealing what goes on, to the point that I no longer want to be a Ferrari owner, a de-facto member of its bull****-control-edifice. I sold my 575 before Christmas. As pathetic protests go, you have to agree it's high quality.

Chris spends a lot of his time ringing out other people's cars including factory ones. Did he really need one of his own? I doubt it. Probably hardly really gets to enjoy it to the fullest.

Please Remain Calm
I haven't seen this video posted here, so I regret being the bearer of, well, not bad news, just perplexing news.
I'll let Chris Harris break it to you gently.

Good news for you: it's been posted b4, and the grief has been aired.
Why CH did this puzzles me. This is the stuff of infidels and child rapists, for which a fate of stoning and public hanging would ensue for journalists of lesser stature...
The 599 is a great transporter, but it simply doesn't turn. Doesn't, can't, won't.

The GTO is certainly on my short-list of keepers, but I don't expect them to suffer the front-engine V12 Ferrari depreciation curve as precipitously as the "normal" 599.
I'm not so enamored with the 612, but I need the rear-seat passenger space of the 991, so the 599 would be (yet another) motorcycle for my purposes.
ps. I did search for harris and the video id, but found nothing in this forum.

Anyway, I like the 599, it's just a gorgeous Ferrari. I only wish he'd broken the piggy bank and gone for the GTO. I think we can safely assume he's making way for the next real car. Perhaps he got an early whisper than the 991 GT3 or perhaps the RS is coming sooner than expected and will be worth having, so the "embarrassment" of selling the 4.0 to be replaced by a 991 is sidestepped and the event of selling a Ferrari to be replaced by a Porsche will "play" well with his audience.

So he is back to being a de-facto member of Ferrari's bull****-control-edifice?

Nope. I've owned several Porsches and as owner of a magazine and former car reviewer have access to whatever I like. Real car guys NEED to own their cars. I don't know why but that's just the way it is...

Plus he probably ruffled a few feathers at Ferrari and this is like sucking up to some extent.
I love that he had the ***** to sell the 4.0 and go to something else. Its what life and car enjoyment is about...
How lame would it be if we all drove Porsche's!
