Default G;day from a new guy

Quick introduction after lurking for a couple of weeks. I'm in the market for a 997.2 GT3 and so this area will be my future home. Thought it best to introduce myself before firing off questions about car histories etc.

I'm an Australian now based in the US. I say based because I have been living out of a bag for the last three and a quarter years traveling around various countries. I only spend a few months in each location and now in south Florida until the end of the year which is about twice as long as I have stayed anywhere since mid 2009. I basically follow the sun and the water.

When I started traveling I left an iris blue 1996 993 C4S back home that I had owned since late 2002. Early last year the Porsche dealer in Melbourne approached me to buy it for their 60 years in Australia celebrations. A good offer and as I was spending only a few months each year in Australia, I sold it. The photo below was taken the day before I handed the keys over. A sad day indeed.

The GT3 will be a daily driver although as I don't need to commute to a workplace, not a lot of miles sitting in traffic etc. Researching a couple of black ones in CA at the moment and see how things go.

I'm sure you'll love our prices - good on ya, and welcome!

Assuming you're from Melbourne - just a quick note, one of my favorite bars in the world - The Espy, St Kilda

Thanks guys. First thing I did when permanent residency was confirmed was window shop for a car because of the low prices compared to Australia.

Originally from Tasmania and moved to Melbourne. The Espy has a long history in the Melbourne music scene and if the walls could speak...

Saw the one at Orbit and trying to hold out for blue/red/black if possible. Otherwise I would be down there based on the location and reputation. Green, have sent a PM.
