Thanks for all the comments!

And as for the seats I wouldn't have it any other way!

Hey 997GT3Girly,

I too came out of a 2009 Z06. I agree, at first I also missed the low end power a little bit. BUT, and it is a BIG BUT, like you said the GT3 is so much better in the handling dept. The GT3 (at least to me) feeling SO much better planted when I am doing 80,90,100, plus while the Z06 felt like it was floating around and I was always moving the steering wheel around like as if the car would kind of wonder off the road. No knock on the Vette. Very nice car and the engine is really quite a fantastic "bit of kit" (as the Brits say).
But the feeling of quality of the GT3 is sooo far more than the Vette that I just cannot put them on the same planet. Again, no knock on the Vette, different strokes for different folks and all that but I feel safer and more confident in the GT3. Congrats on the new car and I trust you will enjoy it in good health.

looks great and congrats, the low end torque is a non-issue on the track. Just keep if above 4000 rpm and explore well beyond. 6k all day will be a good starting point. Look at the torque curve in the manual for your guidance.

Let me know if you need a BK harness bar, I have one taking up space in the garage.

Your dead on about how the Z06 handles and drives. I'm not going to knock the Vette but the GT3 all around is much better car and fits my needs much better for track events. The only way I would probably own another Z06 is to build one to be a street monster and do a custom twin turbo set up, but I doubt that will happen as I have my sights on a GT2 RS later on down the road.

Yeah I really need to get out on the track soon and get use to the car, just haven't had the time lately. I'm getting the GMG RSR Roll Bar next week, but thanks for the offer.

Our next Lone Star Region PCA DE is Sept. 15-16 at TWS, come join the fun with at least 10 other GT3's.

We have a free day tomorrow at TWS for instructor appreciation day.

Stay away from Harris Hill until it gets repaved.

I will have to hit you up when you guys head out to the next event to go check it out. Yeah Harris Hill doesn't look like a very nice track from the pics I have seen, but then again I haven't gone out there yet to look at it.

I sure do miss Homestead & Sebring that's for sure!!!

Been considering a new GT3 when they come out and have been playing around with colors in my head. I think I may have just decided. Your car is absolutely spectacular in red. Congrats!
