Default Looking for 2007-8 gt3 rs

A friend of mine is in the market for a 2007 or 2008 gt3 rs, preferrably in green, orange, white or black with orange accents. I'd know what to advise him to look for and avoid if he was looking at 993s, but thought I'd come on over here and ask you folks for some shopping tips on these cars -- strengths, problem areas, etc. Of course, if y'all know of any that fit his criteria....

Saw that orange one; he's looking for something with a bit less miles.

What issues are there with those year cars that he should looking out for?

cars are pretty bullit proof. RMS is issue (Orange one at Orbit had this fixed ). Clutch rivets seem to go after about 15-20K miles, (Orange one at Orbit had this fixed )
Lots of them have had coolant pipes come loose, but there's no way of checking if they are about to go, they just go one day (Orange one at Orbit had this fixed )
I can't really think of anything else that is GT3 specific

college is overrated. I'm putting all my hopes for my 5 year old twins on a tennis scholarship

Mileage wouldn't bother me - especially on Erik's car. The maintenance and owner mean more than clicks on a dial.

Inkatouring and Minoclan:

I bought my 997.2 GT3 RS maintained meticulously by Orbit. Had a chance to visit the shop in person and was very impressed in every way. I live in Vancouver and the car was well know with higher relative miles, but I've had enough GT3s in the past to know they will last forever if maintained rigorously.

You've both got a chance to own the Orange RS at Orbit at a great price and a car that has been maintained well. Also, a car and owner that RLers know well. Forget about total mileage,... I'd much rather know the owner and maintenance of a higher mileage car then one will lower unknown miles.

Whomever buys this car would have made a SMART buy. All other tire kickers would start kicking themselves.
