Maybe just your pads catching the slots on the rotors occasionally considering they are both new, at full thickness and likely to be tight for clearance initially???

Has anyone noticed the GIROs seem to have a little space missing in the hat wrt the hand brake?
I have some pic's soon to follow up but it seems they change the way the handbrake works and risk making it too sharp if ever used when the car is moving (emergency) ... altho the too much bite is most likely the least of your problems if foot brake fails.
