you will need the flanges that attach the center with the sides.... i was lucky enough to find a set to put my car back to stock.
as you can see in photo, the center muffler has male studs which use the required female flanges to attach the them together...
(the photo shows that im missing the joining flanges)

Burns Stainless has a 2-stage muffler that works vastly better than anything in a stock car (Porsche, Fiat, etc). You can buy a pair of them, build an elbow from your stock headers or stock cats, depending on what you're using now, and build a bracket/exhaust tips that joins both Burns-2Stage for support. The end result is a system that you can bolt back and forth, just from underneath in minutes. For the exhaust tips, use something similar to what Sharkwerks did for their Laguna Seca tips. Much better and easier solution than adding 50 lbs of ballast. The complete system should end up below 15 lbs.
Burns Stainless sell all the hardware for mounting, extra pipes, re-packing.
I saw a race headers, test pipes 996 GT3 and a pair of these mufflers run and it was quiet. I also saw a system in a 996 GT2 at the SCCA Solo Nationals the first year we got the 100 dB limit regulation, and the GT2 was under 90dB as just 50 ft from a WOT section.
Sound regulation in Motorsports blows, part of the emotion is loss when we run electric cars, or diesel cars with 4000rpm redlines.
