Bonding w/TRAK CAR in Florida (picture/video heavy)
Back home in Vancouver after visiting my new 997.2 GT3 RS.
Thank you Peter for the easy transaction, your sincere hospitality, and for maintaining this car with no expense spared!
TRAK CAR is sure a beauty and I enjoyed my time bonding with her from cruising from West Palm Beach to the Florida Keys and visiting some of the local tracks! Best parts were experiencing Sebring, PBIR, and Homestead all on this trip with the new car!
My FL experience in chronological order:
^ Picture of my first meeting with TRAK CAR @ Orbit Racing. Other RS is Eddie's beauty. Orbit's floor was clean enough to eat from!
^ Love the custom numbers for DE Cup! A big "Thank You" to Eddie for his hospitality and consideration for ensuring I didn't get lost in West Palm Beach on multiple occasions.
^ My wife's first meeting with TRAK CAR @ Orbit. She's actually smiling!
^ Arriving at Sebring Friday evening and setting up in the pit area. It was a very wet evening. Notice the familiar Sodi trailer in the background,...
^ TRAK CAR @ home (inside a Sebring garage). This car is gorgeous. As Peter mentioned, a real princess!
^ "Aww,... so CUTE!" I'm quoting my wife on that one Andrew.
^ My best recorded lap in a session with the SmartyCam.
^ Took this shot when I was leaving Sebring to West Palm Beach.
Really good to have met so many RLers on that Saturday: Senna, 85Gold, Izzone, The Greek, Deputy Dog, NJ-GT, Steve, Eddie, and many others. You guys have a fantastic group of GT3 enthusiasts,... and Rad too, of course.
^ Arrived at PBIR a few days later and met Scott M (also a RLer) with his Aqua Blue 997.2 GT3. Thanks for a copy of your "Exit Speed" book and the great photos within it!
^ Trying to catch FLA997's Cup car, unsuccessfully. Really nice to meet Rob and had several good laps leading and following. Enjoy your 996 GT3 Cup!
^ This past weekend was spent at Homestead with Erik and Juan. Really good to meet Erik, get a ride in his 7.1 GT3 RS and experience his driving skills. Also, good to see Juan and his 4.0 again. Thought this was a neat picture with all 997 GT3 RS variants in different colors!
^ Also had a chance to see the Orbit GT3 RS project car at IRL! Does this car ever have presence!
^ This is another seriously sick 996 TT converted to 997 TT widebody with 1000+ hp. Another seriously awesome car!
^ TRAK CAR at home inside Homestead garage surrounded by GT3's of all types.
^ One of my better laps Saturday at Homestead.
^ TRAK CAR getting loaded back on Orbit trailer for a good clean up

Great post.
Stephen, I wonder how long you can stay away. I know its a fulll day flying, but still..
You take good pictures
Makes me feel like a proud care taker, sometimes you don't know what you have until it's gone. I miss driving my car, I sat in it at Orbit for a while yesterday. 19800 miles good job
I think I can pickup the new car next Tuesday and take it to PBIR for a good shake down. Can't wait. It has been too long.

Very nice vacation :-). I think I detected a tear when car left on Orbit trailer on Sunday. Roger asked me on Monday if he was picking the car up in Miami, I told him that the car was already on his truck. He wasn't even aware :-)

Car and Driver has a nice article on that Black GT3 RSR car. It is based on a 997.2 Turbo S, took a year to develop, runs $399k, and during testing (non-Pro driver) it did 1:23s at PBIR on MPSS tires, sick car, lots of work went into it, 1 year on development. Art.
