997.1 brake pad options?

I'm using the newer Hawk DTC-60 pads. They work great on the street and track. They can be a little noisy here and there on the street but very minimal. They also have one step beefier (DTC-70) if needed and I may try those next but I've had zero issues with those and PorSpeed 683 fluid.

Most all the south eastern DE guys are no longer running Pagid pads. The move has been to Performance Friction PF08 and some are using Coblat pads.

Does this apply to the PCCB as well? Or only steel?
Anyone know what's the best pad to fun for PCCB without damaging the rotor? Local guy told me I should run stock pads in order to extend the life of the ceramic rotors, if I run anything else, the rotors will quickly be chewed up. Is that true?

Should be steel only. Porsche does not recommend anything other than OE for PCCB. They do not recommend even their PMNA Motorsport pads anymore.
There are a few pads on the market that are made and marketed for high performance/race use on PCCB, but the rotor wear will be quicker than OE. Only way to properly tell the wear on a PCCB rotor is to weigh it. Really depends on how you are using the car.

PCCB...use stock pads and change them at 50%.
tscracing, when you get to St.Pete let me know and my wife and I will meet you for dinner or we can go out on the boat and I'll show you around.
For street I use the stock pads...nothing I found is better for the street. The PFC or Pagids squeal too much on the street for me.

Cobalt XR2 or PFC 08. I am running Cobalt XR1's now. They are a little too grabby but are wearing better than PFC08. I am going to try XR2 next time.

@tcsracing1 you'll leave in St. Pete until you wreck it or sell it. If you don't bring it down soon enough, I'll get my amigos to gear up, grab it, ship it down from your home turf before you even notice, and ask them not to sell it for 50 pesos and just leave it at my place.

We have already wasted too much money trying other options
I usually hit the backing plate and don't realize it because they are so consistent
Once u get your RS here you will leave it
Sebring is too much fun
