Default OT- my new MP4-12C

driving is believing. this car is unreal- from Conti GT smooth in normal mode to CGT ferocious and stiff in Track Mode. I've driven both extensively so it will be interesting to see how much more ergonomic the MP4 is on the commute every day.

and with the below thread that we get 25HP for free extra...that's nice!

here are some pictures that I used Camera+ to edit...will have more this week coming up. My car gets in around 8pm PST and my GF lands at LAX around 12am so I'll be too busy for RL for a few days!

i tried not to go too crazy on the CF bits- didn't do the front lip or the undertray but did the side blade and the engine bay. didn't do the engine covers because I felt like the regular look was good enough.

from my GT3 experience, I asked for an alcantara steering wheel which they accommodated freely.

Congrats CJ - car looks awesome! I remember when you first started posing questions on RL about this pending ride.... Enjoy it, and have a great week.

amazing new ride. Love the interior! How come you didn't want to go crazy with Carbon?

What's in the stable now CJ? CGT, MP4, what else?

CJ congratulations, the car made me hesitate about dumping the Scuderia, and I'm still drooling about he fit, finish, and acceleration on the MP4-12C. Same color than my test drive.

My better half liked the McLaren Orange, and so do I, with Black wheels it is like a new version of my old 997.1 GT3 RS.

If you intend to track it, PM me, I have info on the brake pads and CCB cheap replacement rotors.

Drop it by Betim and Joey, to see what kind of miracles they can play with the still soft exhaust.

the main thing for me is the customer experience with McLaren- they're much friendlier and accommodating in every way. The sales process with F-cars is kind of a joke, plus in all major markets there are so many people in line with money you have no leverage. so- never drove a 458, won't drive a 458. not interested. the only F-cars I'd consider in the future are the more special edition cars- 360CS, 430Scud, F40. Selling my 599 right now (loved it, but the bentley CGT is a better commuter car) vis a vis to make room for the MP4.

also requested to be on the p12 list last year and they placed me on that, officially and with no questions asked... I was apparently the first customer who knew they were making it.

ferrari wouldn't sell me anything new unless it was well over sticker and I'm just not doing that. had a chance to get a 599GTO but decided against it on the basis of future depreciation.
