Default Thunderhill lap times

Just ran 2 days at thunderhill here in cali. What an awesome track.

Just curious what is considered a good lap or respectable lap time in a 2011 gt3 rs? I ran both the RA1 and the ho hos.

2mins over the top I think would be a respectable time the car is capable of sub 2 easily.

But if this was your first visit to Thunderhill, your 2:02-3's are great. With more familiarity, I expect you'll start feeling comfortable at 2:00-flat and then pushing into the high 50's down the road.

For reference, I've got at least 100 hours on that track, and my best laps have been mid 2:02's in a pretty stock 996 C2 on MPSCs. 320hp/3,000 lbs(no driver)/ 235 & 295 tires, no lsd, etc.

Practice is everything.

2:02/3 for a first time out is great. The car should be well capable of sub-2 times.

Here's an impromptu lead/follow clip from a 997.1 GT3 3.9L (386 hp/3380 lbs w/driver; R6) behind a 997.2 GT3 RS; 1:59.00:

3.9l? 386hp? Did u mean 486? Fastest I've seen is 1:58 over the top which is on a 6 on r6 on r/p(low)and another 6 on v710's(mid). Both incredibly fast drivers. I wouldn't be surprised they do mid 1:56 on the 7's u mentioned. Mike
