forza is more fun, sorta a bit analog, whereas gt5 is too clinical and boring like all the best digital is.

Just downloaded it on xbox360.
I love it! I mean, ....my kids love it.
My favorite are the cup cars. I need to do Sebring in real life some time.

I like GT5. Forza had more fun cars and nicer effects but GT5 is the real deal. However, especially when you get to more powerful cars, GT5 becomes impossible to play unless you have a full steering & pedal set-up. Driving any of the LMP race cars or even the sports cars is pointless. The RBX1 Prototype is almost comical to drive with the controller.

Also, with a controller, there is no such thing as turn-in oversteer.

Forza has better TC mechanics - GT5 TC is horrible, either bogs the car down or it spins.

GT5 Nurburgring is phenomenal. But I can't be bothered to level up to 35+. Load times are boring as hell, transitions between races take forever. If I'm going to sit around and wait I'd rather do it at a real track.

Forza and GT5 are arcades. The ONLY simulation that has ever come out from a console is Race Pro. That thing was the bomb in term of physics. It was made by simbin too, the makers GTR2, GT Legends, and some other popular sims. It was just glitchy and wasn't supported worth a crap until it died away.

I still can't get used to the fake physics on Forza and GT5 after that. Race Pro was sweet!

This. I always thought GT series of games were pretty good, in looking back they are not, GT5 is no exception though the graphics are amazing.

Then I tried rFactor and realized how much better the physics were.

Then I finally tried iRacing and can tell you first hand that nothing compares to iRacing. Plus for you Sebring guys you can run it Day, Night and I believe 2 other configurations as well.

Iracing will be adding a Ruf in the next couple of months. The sim has the best circuits, exact replicas of the real thing - including the bumps in the tracks.
