Bought the 4.0 new and got some paperwork and a plaque with the piston from the 4.0.

Never got the desktop plaque with the profiles of 911's through the years.

Bought new for both. Got the letter and piston it the box for the 4.0 but got squat on the yellow RS.

You will get the piston. Every new 4.0 buyer gets the piston. It just takes a while to arrive. Mine took months.

Enjoy it for the powerband goodness not the tchotchkes

Since I ordered my 4.0 in Riv Blue, I basically paid $8,000 extra for all the cool crap listed above and as such ...... keep it all in my safe !

It was probably your dealer who ordered it. I got one shortly after buying my GT3 in the mail. I mentioned it when I talked to my dealer and they said they order them for all the specialty cars they sell as a common courtesy.

I also got a subscription to Christophorus and I get promotions for every new product that comes out, such as the 991 launch kit with my name on the stand. I think the paperweight with name and VIN is unique to 4.0 owners.
