Crud, my buddies up in chicago all run ho ho. I was planning on running the r6 up there to try and keep up with the local RA boys. We are going to have some fun this year, drink a few beers, tell a few lies, will peter have a replacement car??

I am working a deal with a Race shop 2 miles from Sebring. They will keep my track wheel, and maybe even bring it to the track for me for Chin events. If that does not work, I will get a trailer and an old diesel truck.

Good plan....I'd love to try out Hoosiers and have thought about getting a storage unit in Sebring for my track wheels and a few tools....but I like the comfort of my clean garage to change out brake pads and wheels for DE's and just drive to the track....we'll see.

After seeing Peter's rear sidewall flex 2" beyond the wheel width at Daytona I am not feeling the love to save money on RA1's. Like the idea of all running the same tire and streching the racing fund but I am not interested in running the RA 1's. When you guys are interested we can do a bulk purchase with Yokahama on the Patron Series slick's.

Here is an old post:
Steve- I run the R6 265/345 19" combo. The results are stunning and the car is perfectly balanced. Certainly no understeer and turn-in is quite amazing.
HOWEVER, unless you want to rub through your fender well liners, be unable to turn the steering wheel more than approx 180 degrees and eventually do some real damage you must make some tweaks including centering the wheel within the well via caster adjustment and also removing the liners and removing the outer radiator support brackets, then replacing the liners. You will probably also need to remove the washer fluid tank from behind driver side liner.
If you invest the time and effort, this size combo can be made to work but figure on 3-4 hours per side mucking about to make it work properly. I did and mine fit perfectly with no interference lock to lock and throughout suspension travel. Personally I am not willing to drive a car that has interference issues.

It is and the results are quite fun. If you want the ultimate in a track only set-up, that's it. The next best is OE sized Trofeos.
