Speaking of 918, someone has one of those 911 Turbo S Cabriolet 918 Special Additions on eBay for like $210K. Think its way overpriced. Not to mention you needed to buy a 918 to get the opportunity to buy the turbo. So we know the dude overpaid on that too.

Like the car though. Hope they will take it GT racing, it wouldn't be a GP in its current configuration?

I've taken the CGT on an auto-X, Pacific Raceways and Mission Raceways. A few other Vancouver CGTs made it out to the track as well!

Sad thing for me about the 918 is that I feel it cannot live up to the expectations. No doubt it will be an absolute technological masterpiece, but I can't help to feel that it is setting itself up for failure.

Agreed - just throw a hard top, 600 hp naturally aspirated engine, and has it weigh about 2800 lbs----- Winner guaranteed.

We had a CGT at Watkins Glen this afternoon. Looks great out there. Hopefully he'll let me take it out for open passing.

I have seen them, but usually not driven on the limit in anger.

Well, I never said he got it out of 2nd gear down the straights! In Green group I think. The 6 deep boxter train ahead of him must have been loving it.

I haven't been able to get 2:10 mark...maybe if I borrow this CGT

That is very cool. I understand that these cars can be unforgiving and amazingly expensive to repair so kudos to you for hanging it out.

we got a CGT owner in Vancouver with something like 10000kms on clock... all track time

he perfers using the car for track time vs. street although he also uses his GT3RS on the track too. Great guy and great driver.

I made a very easy, yet very effective, modification to help the back end stay planted; I changed the rear anti-roll bar setting to full soft. I picked up 5 seconds a lap by being better able to put down power at the exit.

I'm an old 911 pilot and don't like lots of rear slip-angle at corner exits.

Appears to have a roof system similar to CGT.

I love your past and present collection. I had a2005 Elise so I am partial to the Tesla chassis. I am now fiddling with a 1972 Lotus Élan in addition to the GT3.
