So far I have only tried the 245/40/18 per Damon's recommendation. Others here seem to think the 265 will work but I didn't want to risk rubbing.

FWIW - I like Hoosiers better. Faster, better grip, better feel. But I will continue to run R1 alongside R6 once I confirm they last longer than R6. But so far I have not been able to confirm the R1 lasts longer since I keep fking them up, no fault of the tire. First that weird flatspot I got when I had electric malfunciton, then a puncture. So I have yet to finish off a set of these tires.
