Huh?
RA1 is a R-Compound tire that was replaced by the R888. MPCS, R888, NT01's "technically" can be driven on the street, but I would hardly call them a street tire.
I am assuming Randy is talking about generalized street tires, such as PS2'S, Super Sports, etc. I drove on PS2's for DE events for 2 years until I built up speed and technique. Then when I maxed out the grip of the tire, I moved to R888. DeputyDog followed the same process....

Senna....I know you really want 18's but like we talked about today the RA1 can be driven to and from the track un shaved...but they are not great for starting outmde with and there is no total street tire in 18" for a gt3rs that I know of. Put some Michelin Super Sports on your stock 19" for your next de....great tires, audible feedback more, than enough grip for now.
Thanks for the shooting lessons. Your shooting and how you started out can be used with de. You also explained things extremely well to me, you improved my shooting in 1 hour. You are a great instructor...thanks I had fun...it was a challenge.
