First in line, $250 refundable deposit. $10k non-refunable due when the allocation arrives. They used to get $5k but got burned a few times. It doesn't matter how much they want once they have an allocation. Been on the list since last summer. First gt3/RS right of refusal

'are you a dealer'
Lol. No
I'm an enthusiast - and wanted some market info.
I stopped by a local dealer last week - he wouldn't take a deposit until they have more info on the new car.
He said after they get the info- it's first come-first served, with 10percent down.
Seems pretty high, and I figured you guys would know of better deals. 500 down is a no brainer, just need to find the right dealer I guess.
Thx all

It helps to have a prior relationship with a dealer with stuff like this. If you came in cold off the street it doesn't surprise me that you got the brush off; the guy is probably going to protect his repeat customers. Not saying I agree with what he said, but it's no surprise. Hope you can find someplace that is more cooperative.
LMAO I guess ur dealer is not CARLSEN Porsche in redwood city? they highly VALUE relationship. and good at fisting. new term I learned on redouble.com. iPad is wonderful
