I think I paid $150.00 or something stupid expensive like that, yet I am glad I bought it. It feels nice clicking it in and out. Indulgent splurge for sure.
Pretty sure you can make something at Home depot for $2.00 that will work also, but this works perfectly and shows up at your doorstep ;-)

Gents, I have to admit that I typically am one to fall for the trick/unique tools for our cars but in this instance I've got to yell from the rooftop: "Stop the Insanity"! Take a 6mm bolt, roll a couple of nuts onto it and tighten against each other. When you get a lock that doesn't pop back out, screw the bolt into the lock and lightly tighten with your 10mm wrench. Now lightly loosen the bolt and viola the lock pops out. Even if you have to go to Home Depot, etc. you've spent 25 cents at the most. Of course, the tool is nice, but for $175...? Have we all gone completely nuts? Wouldn't pass the spouse test in my household nor could I keep a straight face even telling my fellow track rats about it regardless of how trick it is....

Me too! My wife would kill me if she knew how much I paid for this tool. Been using the mm bolt tool thing for years and tool works like a charm. All I can say is thank you Orbit for looking after us!

but what is even faster is my 4" 1/2" drive extension....fits right in the lock...turn and the lock clicks out. ...it even sort of looks like the $190 (use to be $175) Orbit/Porsche tool.
