Doesn't this work exactly the same way and cost just a few bucks from the local hardware?

Yep, fits in the center lock spline perfectly...I even painted mine black with some left over exhaust paint. Mine was free from when I raided my dad's old tool box, but you can buy the same thing for $1.99 at the hardware store.

But again the tool Orbit has is the real deal...totally baller as the GT3DE Cup group say's...I have no idea how much this piece from Orbit cost's though. It would be cool to have but I'm on a serious budget and can't play like the GT3DE Cup boys can.

That's correct, at the track a simple task becomes a lot of times very difficult.

Thanks Mike, It works very well, simple, and looks great. German engineering.
A Kia does the same job as some other cars do, it's just how it does it
Joking aside, it really works great, and very well manufactured.

thank you for the interest.

Randy is going to be pissed. He thought he was part of a special club having this tool.

Leave it to Porsche. Create a wonky wheel lock system and then sell a tool to make it less wonky

Drew,

the tool is very limited in production, and very well built, I'm sure we will see some knock off around at some point, even though they are trade marked now.
Still expensive and not everyone can justify the cost... until they need it.
