Glad I bought a used GT3 and not a 991!

Just released:
DETROIT (AP) -- Porsche is recalling more than 1,200 of its 911 Carrera S sports cars because a fuel line can come loose and cause a fire.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on its website Saturday that the line can come apart at a connection and leak fuel. The agency says that could cause loss of power and a crash, or it could cause a fire.
Porsche says it doesn't know of any fires or accidents.
The 2012 cars have a starting price of more than $96,000.
Porsche says the problem happens because a coolant pipe can touch a connection on the fuel line and loosen it. Dealers will either replace the fuel line or make sure the connections are tight. They'll also install a spacer to keep the lines apart.

That's what happens when VW wants to make the 911 more Fiat-Like. Mid-Engine-Fire-Catching appliance.
I hope they fix it in the new 991 GT3 RS 9A1.2 DFI 4.0 7-speed PDK Torsen 20" CenterLock Limited Collectors Edition.

This is what happens when the economy in Italy tanks and Fiat engineers go looking for work elsewhere... Obviously some HR retard wasn't doing reference checks very well

Fiat runs F1, GT3, GT2, ALMS, Challenge series... while VW is racing Jettas and the obsolete water sumper 997 with an engine no longer in production, pussies.
Poke me when VW puts a 991 out on a racetrack, or the 3 years old supposedly decent 9A1, or the racing originated PDK dead weight. In the meantime Fiat is doing a vastly better job, testing the stuff they are selling on a real racetrack on real racing conditions, like Porsche used to do.
