Check out the Mg wheels from Sharkwerks -- I think that's state of the art.
There's the wheels from Savvy, but I believe he's bare shelves for three months.

If "money no object" then BBS one-piece.

For light and strong with top tier brand credentials, OZ Racing Superforgiata, direct from tirerack with Porsche tpms and whatever tire (and tirecrack will generally have them at your door in two days ...)

http://www.ozracing.com/car_wheels_v...0CL/39852.aspx

disclosure: I have a set of these for sale with tpms, just haven't gotten around to selling 'em yet, but it's almost spring and time to sell the 3.8 RS and get serious about finding a scruffy old hand-me-down 4.0 RS ... hopefully someone will have set one up for the track and want to get out for pennies on the dollar ... but I digress ... : )

Anyway, if you prefer the look of the HRE P40, check the pics of Larry's old blue beater ... just about the perfect wheel design for a 911.

I thought, but I could be wrong, that SW was no longer able to offer the Mg wheels due to problems with the availability/supplier ... should probably let them comment however!

I like the BBS but I think they are a ton'o cash (tm) ... of course the HRE's are awesome, but probably a bit of overkill for the track ... even on a beater like mine!

you guys are offering a wealth of information, so thanks again, but keep it coming.

On to my progress. I think I am narrowing it down. Just got sent a pic of this wheel for the narrow body. does anyone know if it's BBS's forged or cast wheel?

I highly doubt it's cast.

I only say that because in my research, it looks exactly like their cast wheel on the web site. http://www.bbs-usa.com/race-wheels-d...?CLID=66&WF=11

You really can't go wrong with the choices you listed. They'll all be gorgeous.

I'm just partial to BBS.

BBS, 3 piece for cheaper repair using Cup car parts or über baller monoblocks if you don't mind the investments. Resale value is very good.

Heard that they are discontinued which means uber uber baller when one gets damaged. There goes a set of 4.

Champion rg5s. Forged in Japan. Timeless y spoke styling with proper gleaming silver finish. Best quality metal. Champion after service (good thus far). Might be too pretty to track?
