Waiting for someone to combine GMG headers, Akrapovic Sport Cup system, RS 4.0 airbox, and EVOMS tune. Suspect it would be good for 20-25hp gain and sound perfect.

I heard the intake manifold is another bottleneck. But I wonder what will happen using your suggested changes though. I think taking weight off the car is a better return than trying to increase power on these engines.

Weight is your enemy! I agree with this statement as I feel our engines are pretty much maxed out for the power we can achieve on the street. $10K might get us 20hp or less. Take some weight off the car for cheap is the same as getting more power.

Now who wants to run some cheater carbon fenders?

Cheapest weight loss per pound is lightweight battery, followed by Akra Sport Cup system (Orbit's system could bump this down a notch) and forged wheels. Carbon fenders are a close 4th.

Cost/LB weight loss:
Porsche Lithium battery: approx $60/lb
Akra Sport Cup system: approx $130/lb
Volk G12 Wheels: approx $245/lb
Porsche CF Fenders: approx $295/lb

I would add a rank-preference for weight loss at the rear, followed by unsprung/rotational weight loss, followed by weight loss at the front.

I don't have current cost for a set of Brembo Type III rotors but they're claimed to save around 10lbs per set. If true, they'd likely rank here as well.

Anyone have the numbers for PFC replacement rotors?

Need to make sure it's for 380mm. Brembo claims 21 front/16.75 rear vs 23/21 for stock rotors. I can't recall but Brembo numbers might be for their full GTR brake system (http://www.rogueengineering.com/bmw/B.html). As I recall, the rotors Brembo sells as a stand-alone upgrade are sligtly different from the full GTR system. All numbers are unverified.

Nizer, I have BBI side muffler bypass pipes and each side is 2 lbs and the price is $1,500. So cost/lbs is: 37.5 making it the cheapest and removes weight from the rear

Yes, but your stock center section won't last.

Yes but I believe the Motorsport center section is quite a but louder than Akra Sport Cup, correct?

I really hope it will last. I don't know for how long but I will keep everyone informed if it breaks

Yes it does, you need to block off the upper part. they are about 540.00 each.

I meant just the Porsche Motorsports link pipes. The Porsche center muffler is hard to compare, as they are usually in a cup car, which have different headers with different Cats. To be spot on, would need to fit that on a 3.8
Akrapovic still the best sound - street/track and best quality out there.

How's the power delivery without the side mufflers? And I presume there's no more exhaust valve so you're constantly on "loud" mode?
