When did you paint your wheels black? They look great in your avatar!

Hi Montoya,

If you recall from the other thread about GT3 Price Range! Still not decided on whether to buy used one, or wait for the 991 GT3's.

One question, among many on my mind really:

was looking at the tech specs for the 997.2 - and I see that the wheel base (or width) of the 997.2 C4S model is wider than GT3 model!!

Is my reading correct. If so, how could this be! A standard Carrera car has wider body, track, than a GT car !! Hope I am wrong.

PS. Sorry Green. Didn't mean to intrude on your subject! Apology! and GLWS.

The GT3 is a narrow body car like a C2S, and a RS is a wide body like a C4S, so yes, you are reading it correctly.

And, don't wait to buy a 991 GT3 and get a 997 GT3 now. You can always trade up for the 991 when it comes out in a couple of years. Don't deprive yourself of such a good car as life is too short.

SKFX, Mooty. You're right, indeed life is too short to waste hanging onto a 'waiting list'.

Problem: what to do, if your genetic makeup constantly calls for procrastination !

I am looking at two 2010 GT3 cars, with about same milage. One Guards Red (the color it debuted at the Frankfurt show). Amazing color, exciting, endearing. Yet priced high, by my book. The other, low priced but colored Arctic Silver. I very much liked Arctic silver on other types - like good old 993TT...but not on the 997, and GT3 in particular.

What you guys think of silver.

Appreciate any links on web for Arctic silver 997.2 GT3 (owner sent me 2 blurred pics from his cell phone!!!).

Green - sorry....again. Hope I'm not derailing your thread!

It's good to be a procrastinator, cause you always have something to do.

^ Agreed. The sniffing around can be fun. In the end, you gotta drive though.

From "Green"
When did you paint your wheels black? They look great in your avatar!

Car was ordered with Black rims but factory would delayed initial order so had it done upon delivery by Collision Plus in West Houston

Say it aint so Green!

Our cars are twins, virtually identical spec and delivered a month or two apart... They are awesome cars to drive but sometimes, things in life change...

Best of luck either way!!
