I thought that all 2010/11 GT3 and GT3RS were the same.

Thanks guys, just wanted to check that the info I had previously gotten was correct

Another post got me thinking, always a dangerous activity

If the info above is correct it means that 997 GT3 hydraulic brake bias has gone from 1.931(very front biased) in 2005 to 1.171(very rear biased) in 2010

I'll have to build a ss to see how the rotors and effective rotor size alter that.

Was the feeling that early 997 GT3 were too much front biased?

Is the 2010 bias considered to be an improvement?

Bill

In you post these 2 lines are partially incorrect:

2009 GT3/GT3RS 6piston front 38/32/28 4piston rear 34/34, 350x34mm front & 330x28mm rear rotors

2010 GT3/GT3RS 6piston front 32/30/28 4piston rear 34/34, 380x34mm front & 330x28mm rear rotors

The rears are 350mm for both of those.

Thanks, I'm confused because PET has a listing for -'08 and '10- but there is no mention of '09, Any one know why?

'09 is the swap over year from 997 mk1 to mk2 - I suspect that any cars actually delivered in '09 were '10 model year cars or leftover mk1's from '08

Can anyone confirm front and rear rotor sizes of a 997 GT3 (non ceramic)?

Dealer just gave me 350mm rears. They look huge at 13.75 inches.

Early 997 GT3 and RS - 350mm front and 350mm rear
Later 997 GT3 RS - 380mm front, 350mm rear

Thank you. The fronts I bought online were sent as 330's. That probably explains why the 350 rears looked massive in comparison. Ugggh. What a mess.

330 is small in comparison to 350 - TINY compared to 380....

Would look really odd with 350 rears and 330 fronts..

Agreed. Shipper at Amazon f'd up. Trying to get this all worked out before COTA. Hopefully they send a return shipping label because even these 330's are heavy!

I thought all 7.2 GT3 and 7.2 GT3RS on steels came with 380mm front discs .. at least that's what the brochure says.
