Ed,

I've seen your driving. I can understand why he is scared to ride with you.

I have known Don for several years and chose him to host a few track days at PR. He has always been respectful to me and all participants were pleased.

Thanks Craig for the website link. Sorry to hear your experiences Ed.

As PJS pointed out, I was a pretty regular client of his...I guess he was getting too comfortable. Either way it prompted us to do our own thing, which is so much better then his days IMO.

If anyone is interested, James from Scan Automotive & I are arranging a two day track day session @ ORP on Mon/Tues June 18/19; for beginners/novices.

I understand that most guys on Rennlist are quite experienced track guys, but if you're interested it'll be a fun event.

Thanks Nan - sounds like a lot of fun.

I was notified by Bernie at MB Euro Motors of their trackday on March 18th. They have my car now and hopefully it will be well prepped in time.

The only way to get better is seat time. Come out and run in the slow group. And take full advantage of the instruction. I'll be in the slow group because I'm borrowing a car for The Ridge event. Not going to risk cracking up an unfamiliar vehicle just so that I can run in one of the faster groups like I do at home in my own car. There's no shame is starting at the beginning.

Well that puts a kink in things.

But I'm two time zones away and I'll be there. So there...

I found that the only issue with slow group which was frustrating was not their speed but unpredictable actions. I did it once on my first time at Portland, after the first session I moved to the fast guys. I was slower but I was predictable for the faster guys so not in the way. Also check out the website. If you do go to Pacific, they have an instructor video lap it helps with the line before showing up. I would send you one of my in car videos but I never have learned the right line

True. Around here we've got open track days where any fool can get on track and run with whatever group they think they belong in when it's not part of a sanctioned event. I see some sort of stupid pretty much every time I go out. Let's just say that unpredictible drivers come with the territory where I'm from.

But that's you and me with multiple years of track experience. A beginner belongs in the beginning group, right?

Or get you as an instructor at Pacific! It worked for me

I remember the ride I took with you 4 years ago (when you were my instructor), made me want Hoosiers and 996GT3 seats and harnesses.
