I agree with all of you on the 4.0 build. However, you need to realize there are more people out there than just us on these forums. People want a comfortable car to drive and "show off." That is the majority of owners out there. Us performance freaks are few in the grand scheme of things. Yes, we absolutely know the true function of the 4.0. That being said, how many 4.0 owners do you know who thrash their car at the track? There's a few good men out there, but most have other dedicated track cars as well. Accept diversity and move on. You don't have to buy it.

Is it possible that some of us NEED a more comfortable seat. I broke my hip when a drunk driver hit me headon and while I would wish to go "hardcore" on every aspect of the car some things can't be helped. Does that make me a ******?

When I run the GT program of Porsche I will interview all GT car buyers

If they even mention cars and cafe......fail

When I bring my track hardened RS anywhere it is teh best marketing Porsche has......people cant believe a street car can handle the abuse

Little do they know the motor is vastly different, but what they dont know wont hurt them

According to this crowd. Yes. For the record I like the A.S.S. seate in my Turbo better than the sport seats, but I don't track my cars.

Nope. But there are far better solutions for special seating needs such as yours that will maintain road/driver connection the car is designed to deliver.

I guess we are both *******! Just kidding......look I understand the feelings of everyone on this thread. I fear that all the GT cars are going down the tubes. However despite the fact that I do not track my car there is NOTHING else that drives like my GT3. I have never felt so connected to a car before. And for that alone (despite my *** seat) I still feel that a person doesn't have to be a "purist" only if he orders a certain type of seat. This car with the Mezger engine, the last of the non-electric steering will always make the 997 GT cars very unique.
Besides, due to a drunk driver I have no other choice.

Nizer--Any thoughts you could lend me on some others angles regarding the seat issue? I'm open to other ideas here, Thanks---

I too would get fixed buckets, but it's not the end of the world in terms of what the car is specced with. Stuff can go on, come off...as long as the car underneath is the 4.0 RS, I think we're good
