Default I've never seen a car get dirty so fast.

so after owning this car a for a few weeks I have noticed that it gets dirty real fast.

I'm trying to figure out why. Is it due to the shape of the body? Maybe it's because the car sits so low to the ground. Maybe it's a rich running car and the exhaust soot accumulates on the rear of the car. Maybe my car is burning a ton of oil and its accumulating on the rear of the car.

I have no idea and am just trying to see if any members can enlighten me.

TIA

Two main things dirty these cars really quickly... The brake dust down the sides of the car and the road tar and grime on the rear... The crap on the rear which I'm assuming you are referring to is due to a combination of 305 rubber throwing it up off the road and the turbulence circulating it from under the car and onto the rear. Mine is white. After a few drives, the rear is peppered with tar and feels like sandpaper... Its not oil and its pretty normal. I wash it regularly to keep accumulation to a minimum and once noticeable, i use autosmart tardis to get it all off and re-wax the rear bumper and rear lid...

Talking Simple!

PCCB's for the wheels and you aren't driving fast enough to outrun the falling dirt.

I also drive 993s and a 964 and noticed that on back to back runs, on the same stretch of road, the rear of the 997 GT3 seems to accumulate dirt much more quickly. Maybe because the newer car has had so much more aerodynamic work, and the airflow deposits dirt more readily at the rear of the car?

The good news is that it gets dirty quickly whether you drive it aggressively or not -- makes my decision easy.

RejeX wax. My cars stay pretty clean. The only issues are brake dust and bug guts.

Lots of tire chunks! I clay bar and wax the *** every couple months the whole car twice a year. In between I use lots of Adam's detail spray with a shot of their butter wax mixed in for good measure. Only wash it 3-4 times a year. I ignore the stone chips!

Lol, I knew someone was going to say this.

Anyways, thanks for all the replies. Snowboarder, I too use Adams products.

I did a full undercarriage and body detail last week and the drive after the detail was when i noticed how fast the car got dirty.

1. Wash - Adams Wash
2. Clay - Mothers, I like it the best.
3. Flex random orbital with menzerna SIP, P085, and final finish. I then applied a nice coat of Zymol wax and finished it up with Adam's detail spray.

Is it black? Black cars (especially Porsche's) get dirty as soon as you pull away from the curb. I got rid of my black Carrera and got the silver one just for that reason...well also because the silver ones are the fastest...
