Took a few hours this week to install a couple of mods to my new to me RS. GMG WC rollbar and their monoblock wheels. Also added a BK submount and Shroth GT3 6pt harness.
Thank you to Joe and Andreas @ GMG for their tech advice along the way during the WC bar install. The rollbbar took about 8 hours to install, the submount and harness including fitment took about 2 hours. I think it turned out well and I'm looking forward to getting out on the track.

 

Nice. You and I have similar taste. A white X5d will eventually be the next addition to the stable.

PS Don't drive off with the Nut on the front centerlock!

 

Yeah, just realized that was in that picture. That was a work in process pic. The other "finished" pic I took came out too blurry.

The 3.5d is my wife's car. We love it, it's our second 3.5d and 5th X5. White is THE color to have IMHO for the E70. We traded a '10 in Vermillion Red for the '11 Alpine White last May. We put 23k on the '10 and already have 13k miles on the white one. I use it to tow the RS to the track. Last long roadtrip we took, we averaged 78mph and 26mpg

 

Great, but we don't allow street CLs in the 6GT3 forum. Moved to the 7.

Also uses GMG track wheels.....you have good taste
