All mods are safety related - besides the obvious harnesses and bar.. One can easily make the safety argument for any mod that improves handling, braking, and/or acceleration
That fraction of a second or increased grip or inch shorter stopping distance can all be the difference between life and death
Use any analogy but a good one is the deer that jumps out in front of you - you need to stop if you have time, swerve if you don't and sometimes swerve and accelerate at the same time
All of the track driving is practice for the "hypothetical deer incident"
If you live where there are no deer, then insert any native species that fits
Ask yourself - handling, grip, acceleration, braking - virtually any decent mod (even pro coaching for you pro coaching bible beaters) fits into several of the categories... In which case, technically you can make the safety mod argument to your significant other for their buy in... Passion and conviction sell ideas... Safety mod argument, if full disclosure is required, has the highest probability of spousal buy in... Lean on that argument like a kickstand you cannot get off of...

my wife has no smart phone. needs to pay for porsches. she carries a pager, fking loud. when it beeps, i throw it away. hospital provide free new one's whenever i kill hers.
