Default Any Bay Area RLers run FDR Motorsports DE at Laguna?

My in-laws are flying in today for the holidays, and I wanted to take my father in law down to Laguna Seca since he's a car nut and has never been. Tomorrow there's a DE being ran by FDR Motorsports. It looks like the only day during their stay to really take him and see some cars on track.

Has anyone ran with them, plan to be there tomorrow? We'll likely go regardless, but I hope it's worth the visit :-)

I'm pretty sure FDR and trackmasters are closely related. I've ran with trackmasters and they are one of the better organizations.

Thanks for the offer Larry, but I won't actually be running tomorrow. Really just hoping to go and show him the track (with cars running around to make it more interesting). My car needs a bit of work at the moment to be track ready, otherwise I might have taken you up on that...haha.

Based on their site, it looks like it's primarily a Porsche oriented group which is why I figured I'd ask here, though I'm sure they'd allow a non-P car in if the slots are available....

You're getting me excited Larry (in a non-disturbing manner, of course) :-)

I'll be sure to take some pics. Porsches at LS....one of my favorite past times in my ripe old age of 30.

Fun time yesterday, my wife's parents had a blast (her Dad was psyched to see a couple of classic Camaro's on track as he has three of his own...).

Only saw one 997 GT car....with one of the more elaborate Db defeater's I've seen

And...always happy to see an .:R on track:

Glad to hear your in laws had a great time. The weather was phenomenal yesterday. 71 degrees trackside.

It couldn't have been much better weather wise. Were you there?

I was there running my blue Spyder on Friday and Saturday with TrackMasters Racing. You ended up picking the better day as Friday was noticeably colder with some winds while Saturday was actually hot. Were you in your R32? I thought I saw one in the paddock that was not being run on track.

We took my wife's parents rental car. Found it to be a bit easier to get four people in and out of than the R32 ;-) Yesterday is turning out to be perfect. Considerably cooler and cloudy (at least in SF) today.
