GMG had advised that you lose power by running unplugged since the sport button actively manages the opening and closing of the exhaust flaps to boost mid-range torque (per Porsche).

And man it drones just drones too much for my sensitive ears?

Interesting...

There is a detailed thread about this somewhere - may be worth looking into.

Has anybody else heard this?

Separate threads for all the non-mods/safety upgrades. That way it's harder to tally

Yeah, they just let you believe that you're getting away with stuff.

if you did not get it yet - AiM Solo DL is an another great present for x-mass. mine just got shipped from Jerry Austin. IMHO it is a best data logger on the market right now.

i'm still in discussion with myself on how/where get it mounted. I want it to be removable and IMHO ideal location would be somewhere close to left pillar or left upper air vent, but not sure how to get a bracket installed there and how make it look not overly ugly. air vent grid should be removable, may be that will be the simplest way.

other idea i have is to order replacement steering wheel case upper cover, drill it and make DL sit right there in front of speedometer. but it will be a permanent mount, not a removable, not if anything would be wrong with that, but... have to think a bit...

get a CAN version only, smartcam is optional. I am going to feed my smartycam from DL, should be great.

Thanks! I got a chance to really get on it yesterday and I really like that is it tame and virtually invisible in sport mode until you jump on the throttle and the revs get up there. Then, is where it shines. Perfect.
