If you have an iPad, this issue has already been available via the Zinio app. It's a good way to go, less waste, and cheaper than the printed version.

Evo has chosen a very misleading cover photo that suggests the article is a comparison of the 991S and 997.2 GT3, which is clearly not the case. The article starting on page 60 is actually 991S vs 997.1 GT3. It's ok, worth the read I guess, but don't be disappointed when you finish the article realizing there's no mention of the 997.2 as the cover pic suggests. Chris Harris gives both cars 5-stars with a bold 5th star for the 7.1 GT3.

Doh ... that's cheating ... I don't think its fair to compare the .1 to the 991S!

on a related topic, having seen spy pictures of the "991 GT3" and also pictures of the forthcoming "cup aerokit" I think those spy photo's might actually just be an aerokit mule ...

The same Evo issue also has some nice artist renderings of the "2013 Turbo, 2013 GT3, and 2014 GT2". Must say that I really liked the 991 GT3 rendering

That combined ducktail and wing really look terrible together.

Those shots show an S with dual exhausts - I seem to recall the other spy shots recently showed a center exhaust - more indicative of a GT3.

well spotted ... except ... you are I think assuming the current engine setup ... its not clear to me why the 991 GT3 would have a ctr exhaust ... if it has a tweaked 9A1 ... unless the 9A1 so tweaked requires it ... or it could just be branding....

we will see!

That is good, sounds like picking up my 7.1 GT3 was a good move. I went with a 997C2S over a 996GT3 because on paper they had the same performance numbers. I soon learned, that a C2S can not match the real life performance of a GT3 (996 or 997).

The 991 with the regular ducktail aerokit is going to look absolutely amazing when setup with the right 20" wheels and lowered a bit. I'd pick up the RG5s, again. Can't wait! There may be a GT3 for sale.

One of the strong arms of a GT3 is that, even a stock version, can be pushed hard at the endurance races like the Nurburgring 24 Hours race (I think recently Chris Harris himself just drove a GT3RS and finished 13th overall at it.)

While I have no doubt that the new 991 C2S can run side by side with, if not better than, a 997.2 GT3 in a lap or a few; I will be eager to see how a stock 991 C2S would compare to a 997.2 GT3 in endurance races like the Nurburgring 24 Hours.

In all honesty, I am eager to witness with what and how Porsche constructs the 991 GT3 fully understanding there are going to be some very vocal naysayers flanking them from both the internet and media sides standing at the ready the moment the 9A1 shows any signs of weakness.

What a challenge and they've got to be having a ball sketching it all out.

compare 991gt3 with 7gt3 would be interesting read.
compareing 991c2 with any gt3 is strange. no matter how fast 991 is, i opt for gt3. i would think most gt3 drivers doing the samething.
