Default Rode in a 997 GT3 Cup -

I'm in deep ****, I rode in a GT3 Cup Today, at PBIR. After that got into my RS and thought that I was driving the GL....
Thank God for Xanax and Vodka, maybe I'll forget about it in the morning.

Well, Who needs a cup ?

I was cured of this by learning about running costs, including transmission rebuilds, as well as the other limitations of a straight up race car. I also realized the expectations I would have for myself would be a lot higher.

Ahhhhh, you have tasted the dark side!! That is what most of our clients say when stepping out of a Cup car for the first time (when coming from a street GT3, etc). The Cup car is so much faster in every way as it should be with 600 less pounds of weight and no rubber in the suspension and slicks and shorter gearing.....etc, etc.....

But ya can't drive it on the street.........

and the Cup is absolute S*** to drive on the road - I can still feel the autobahn expansion joints - olus understeer (no front spoiler).
On the positive side, running costs for a season of sprint races are not too bad
However, the difference between the RSR and the Cup is as great, if not greater, than between the Cup and the street car.

R+C
PS we were running in the new Cup cars on the Autobahn at night, Polizei waving politely (we did a practice wheel change at a service station to amuse them)

Not sure what is more interesting - the gap between the Cup and the RSR, or the fact that you were driving Cup cars on the street.

Pictures next time!

If the pictures got out, then the Polizei (Hot Fuzz?) would cop it in the nick (neck) from the Greens who are active in Germany. 'who the Fuchs do you think you are - the bl**ding Sweeney?' springs to mind.

My God, the slip angle, and control are really impressive. The car felt amazing, and Nigel is such a great guy.
