YES!!! Have them do a proper setup. The biggest challenge is that most can not do corner balancing. But at least provide them with the settings you want.

ZR1 and Z06 are amazing cars for the money they cost. and as from 2009 motors they have are way better then they used to be - it is a very interesting car to consider. in club i run with there are couple of race prepped z06 cars, they have 345 tires in rear and run very fast laps, from what i see they are on par with porsche cup cars that is really amazing, considering it is pretty much a $60-$80k project car if we take 2009 Z06 donor. or even twice cheaper with earlier years Z06 donor.
The Z06 with just some more aggressive tires than the crappy stock GY's is simply extremely hard to beat if driven properly. You can pick up some early 06/07 models in the mid/high 30's, change the dry sump to a larger one and drive them hard.
