Default Help me spend some money

Would like to personalize the car a bit and I need a winter project.

I know you guys are specialized in modding your cars and motivating fellow rennlisters to spend some coin so let me know what you would change.

So far the only things I changed are the front radiator screens and a centre bypass + big black sharky tips.

Thanks

That's a good start

Forgot that I already had the 996 cup car cables (BIG difference!)

Going to start with the wheels and some suspension work.
What offset do you recommend in 19"?
Most important suspension upgrade?

thanks

syspemsion: remove all rubber per list above.
motion ctrl or jrz suspension or similar quality shocks.
I don't know offsets. call BBS Motorsport and ask for wheels made for ur car

always buy wheels SPECIFICALLY
for ur type of ur car

If you plan on going to the track then you will want the Porsche Tequipment Roll Bar with Schroth harnesses. Now welding required so your resale if safe.

To better hold your alignment you will want rear toe links.

The most import mod you need now is the LSD.
If nobody can modify your plates locally then you will want a Guard unit installed.

I wouldnt worry about wheels unless you want to run a specific tire for track days.
The stock wheels look great on a street GT3.

I only do some DE's and a lot of spirited driving with a club. They organize "track days" but it's more like having fun on a track.
The porsche francorchamps days are a good example of this.

Which rear toe links you recommend ?

I'm going to use the stock wheels for winter driving and a new set for the track or nice weather.

Thanks for the help.

Drop motor and take care of coolant press fittings and while dropped get lwf LSD and gear ratios/rp : ). Good to go with peace of mind on track. Mike

I've got a used Manthey KW coilover kit for sale, including hydraulic lift system on both axles. Kit is @ Van Beurden right now ;-)

How did you find the Cup 996 clutch cable upgrade? What did it help with?

For D.E you want the tequipment roll bar as the harnesses really keep you planted.
The bar also looks really cool
I currently have Tarrett rear toe links and am very happy with them.
The rear toe link upgrade locks your alignment in place. The stock toe links tend to lose alignment after a few track days.

For summer wheels, you cant go wrong with 18" BBS E88 in sliver with polished lips.Even the gold are nice.
These wheels are light weight and are the same wheels used on 996-997 GT3 grand-am CUP cars.
A second set of factory wheels would also be nice as an alternative.

For D.E i wouldnt both with changing R&P, but a single mass flywheel and matching RS pulley would be nice.

But again, the most important mod would be the Limited Slip Differential.

in this order

1) cage and harness
2) $2,000 set aside for some coaching
3) Data system....I use Traqmate
3) take off ceramics and put PFC steel set up on
4) Tarrett: toe links, dog dones, caste rpuck, monoball end
5) some sort of exhaust to uncork car
6) some sort of wheels.....GMG has a special on some fantastic 18" BBS
7) Cup LSD
8) RS wing or something (cup wing) to give you more aero than the taco

You do all thi sand have $ left over I can keep spending

Looks gorgeous and glad you like it I'm a fan of blue for obvious reasons!

I'd say grab some of these for the rear:
