Thumbs up Sleep mode with the doors locked

Thanks to my buddy, Pat at Tysons Porsche.

I recently parked my 996 GT3 outside with the car locked via key button for 3 weeks due to an injury while I couldn't drive. When hitting the key button to unlock it, nothing happened. I had to unlock it with the physical key and shut off the horn by inserting it into the ignition. Apparently, after 2 weeks the system goes into a sleep mode to save the battery. This can be a bit scary at first, but it makes sense.
The 997s are the same way.

That is discussed in the 997 owners manuals. My experience is that the remote function is disabled after about 7 days, not two weeks, however.
