I'm not in, because as much as I love Chris Harris professionalism as a journalist and much more as a car enthusiast, the waiting list for Chin at Road Atlanta does not guarantee I can run there.
Enjoy and take plenty of pictures and videos. Ask him how he likes that 4.0RS compared to the 3.8RS he drove at the N24h.

I spoke to Gavin, who invited Chris Harris to come over. Surely he can wave some magic at Chin to get a Fiat in.
I can't make it. Nothing would excite me more than listening, discussing and annoying Chris Harris some more by talking about DE and GT3's in the US.
I'd even hand him the keys and let him drive my dually for the weekend :-)
I would love to make it, but this is the one weekend a year I can't do it because I am celebrating my major sponsor (huh, I mean my dad)
65th birthday on Aruba this weekend with the entire family :-)

Chris Harris Dinner,
Saturday, 11/26/2011
Dinner with special guest Chris Harris
Dinner Information
After the Saturday track day at Road Atlanta:
Social and dinner with special guest CHRIS HARRIS
Renowned international motoring journalist, test driver, and Porsche racer
Chris Harris is an inveterate Porsche 911 fan who also happens to like just about every other sports car.
A UK-based journalist who has written for everything from EVO to Excellence Magazine, and a tireless
advocate of the low-budget car-video (with plenty of added oversteer) who spends too much time
at the Nurburgring racing in the VLN championship. Chris would like to think that he has found a way of
communicating a passion for all things automotive – but many people tend to think he’s a loud-mouth-limey
who was once rude about the Corvette! For the avoidance of doubt, he likes the Corvette. He just prefers
the Porsche 911 GT3. A while back he visited a Chin Motorsports event at Sebring with one of your fellow track addicts, Gavin Riches, and didn’t expect to find such a vibrant, enthusiastic and knowledgeable car-community.
He also liked the sunshine! Chris is coming to ATL to share some stories, and escape the gloomy British winter.
•Reservations and advance purchase required!
•$35 p/person for currently enrolled members of Chin Motorsports.
•$40 for non-members. Membership not required to attend dinner only.
•$45 for unreserved walk-ins at the door!
•Arrivals beginning at 6:30, dinner buffet at 7:30, presentation at 8:30pm
•Registration fee includes buffet dinner, non-alcoholic beverages, tip, and tax.
PLUS a special presentation by Chris Harris
•Alcoholic bevs not included. Drinks from the bar can be ordered on your own check
•This event is at El Centinela Mexican Restaurant, about 10 minutes from Road Atlanta.

Below is some information about the dinner......sounds like a must happen event
Chris is a very well respected journalist and racer in the UK and is best known for his passion regarding anything Porsche. He has written for many of the major automotive publications. Chris currently writes for EVO Magazine in the UK and Excellence Magazine here in the US along with many on line automotive videos. He is well known to many Porsche enthusiasts here in the US. For those who don’t know him I think they will find his presentation to be enjoyable, informative and humorous. He will be speaking on the following subjects.
• His first driving impressions of the new 911 (991)
• This years Carrera Cup at the Nurburgring which he finished second in his class (in atrocious weather)
• This years 24 Hour Nurburgring Race, his team also finished 2nd in class
• Last years 24 Hour Race where he drove a production GT3 RS for the factory
• His experience with the new GT3 RS 4.0 which he owns
• The differences between track days here in the US and in the UK
• Driving a GT2 RS up the hill at Goodwood for Porsche GB
• The process EVO Magazine goes through for choosing their Sport Car of the Year.
• The race he did at the Nurburgring last year with Walter Rohrl as his co-driver.
• General question and answer session.
The event will be held at a restaurant that has a private dinning area that can seat up to 75 people; it’s about 10 minutes from Road Atlanta. The price is $40 per head and includes appetizers, dinner and non alcoholic drinks. The doors will open at 6:30, dinner will be served at 7:30 (buffet style) and Chris will start speaking at 8:30. We expect his presentation to last about an hour and a half depending on the length of the question and answer session.
