Default Porsche "customer vehicle emissions test program"

I recently got a letter from Porsche regarding their above referenced program.

They are interested in giving a generous credit (to be used toward service or products from the local dealership) for performing a data readout from the car's computer.

Has anybody heard about this? Or think of a reason NOT to do it?

Go to Pioneer and ask for Earl, he'll take care of you.

I was going to do it but it had to be a 2010-2011 RS.

Why not?

We have no such emission testing nonsense in Florida, but maybe they would like to have a "Customer vehicle Ti exhaust and pressure plate program" 'round here....

No issues. Ferrari NA asked for the same thing on my father's 599. If you do it - just think of it as helping Porsche out.
