Default Toyo R888

Is anyone running 305/30ZR19's R888 on their GT3 (NB). The Toyo website says they are good for 10.5-11.0-11.5 rim width. The GT3 has a 12" rim. Your feedback would be appreciated. I know there are lots of threads on tires, but could not find one on this.
Thanks!

You can run 305 tire on a 12" no problem.

I've been running 305/35/18 RA1's on my 12x18 CCW C14s for a while without issues.

I've been running the "Official Rennlist's Most Hated Tire"...Toyo R888 for years.

I currently run a 305/30/19 on 12" wide tires no issues at all. Most all tire manufactures...Michelin for example...show specs of only 11.5" wide wheels for 305/30/19 tires but Porsche ships GT3's with a 12" wide wheel and this tire size.

Thanks for the feedback. There are not a lot of options for 19" R-Comps out there.

Yes, I hear they suck, but not much for options. With the 380mm disks in the front its a tight fit on 18" rims.....

any good forged 19" wheel will fit over 380 mm disk

I have GMG they fit perfect

If stuck with 19" run corsa system.

or buy tire trailer, run cheap street tires and hoothers at track

you run 18" wheels...not 19"...LOL

I went with 19" wheels only because I drive to the track (no where to store a tow vehicle and trailer..or even a small tire trailer to tow behind the car) and with 18" wheels you have Hoosier which you can't drive on the street or Toyo R888. With 19" I have a few more choices with Michelin and Pirelli.

Right now I'm on the dread R888's because with my new car I have a good comparison because I know this tire. Next I'm going to try out either Michelin Sport Cups or something from Pirelli.

See you next week in Daytona for Saturday Sunday. Then off to Sebring in November for a couple of events.

it is actually an interestinng topic - i was told by several people and my shop that for 12" wide 18" rims actual 'right' size in R888 lineup is a 305 tire and not 315 tire as one would assume. 315 sidewalls are not optimal for 12" rim but 305 fits just right. go figure.

in 19" i do not know, so, sorry to OP .
