I prefer to focus on numbers:

Wheelbase 991: 96.5 997: 92.5 BMW M3: 108.7 458 Italia: 104.3 Nissan GTR: 109.4
Length 991: 176.8 997: 175.6 BMW M3: 181.8 458 Italia: 178.2 Nissan GTR: 183.3
W/L Ratio 991: 55% 997: 53% BMW M3: 60% 458 Italia: 59% Nissan GTR: 60%
F/R Wgt Bias 991: 38.8/61.2 997: 38.2/61.8
Weight 991: 3,075 997: 3,131 BMW M3: 3,704 458 Italia: 3,274 Nissan GTR: 3,800

The 991 continues to have a lower wheelbase-to-length ratio than competitors. It remains shorter, lighter, and more fuel efficient than the competition, in many cases by a significant margin.

The front/rear weight bias has changed by a whopping 2% - so what.

It's lower - like it.

It's lighter - like it.

It has a wider front track - like it.

The longer wheelbase will make it more stable - like it.

It has a significantly stiffer shell - like it.

It's as fast as current GT3 and far more usable - like it.

Relative to the current 997, virtually all of the new technology can be deselected if desired, including the dreaded sunroof. About the only complaint I have other than the console design is that they didn't use the opportunity to make a more significant upgrade on the front suspension.
