Please post a couple pics of the 968 if you can. You will find it to be a very neutral handling, well balanced car. Go W2W race that sucka!

I will DE the car for the first half of next year, then, yes, off to the races.

Here is my brand new logo for my race "team."

Ron - Congrats! Tough decision as I know you loved the GT3. That said, cant say I am surprised you're going racing. Love the logo. Time to get over the the 'other' Forum were the momentum cars are, lol. I am looking forward to seeing the Firehawk at the track (not doing Delaware??)! Best of luck with the Ferrari, too!

Haha, I will start to troll the other forums soon, all my friends are here. I am shooting for Delaware with the new bit of kit, I will sign up in the next few days once I know that my shop is going to have me ready in time. Don't worry CJ, I won't hold you up, I am going to practice my atrophied skill of a "point by" ( I remember having to point people by...a long time ago (only kidding)

Another reference point...I have a 430 and a C6 Z06 and have tracked both. Laying GPS data one over the other shows essentially identical acceleration curves in the 40 - 120 mph range (Infineon speed range).

Good to hear... please wear red gloves ...

Find me if you can make it, as it looks like Chris Brady will run black with us and if you can tuck in behind him you will learn a great deal about the platform very quickly...

Joking aside congrats truly and i really cant wait to see her!

Matt, get a Scuderia, you won't miss the GT3, you won't miss the F430, and you won't miss the GT2.

There are some nice deals out there.

racing is way more fun than tooling around in street car on a track, even a gt3. i'm jumping in a 130i race car for another VLN race this saturday and way more excited than going on any de. only thing better is racing a gt3 cup! my RS is probably going to be traded for F430 as well especially since 458 spider is now released and prices for 430 should get another nice drop. just have to find a manual car!

Makes sense. The cars are only 30hp apart and the RS weighs a bit less. The F430 would probably start to pull slightly in the upper speed ranges - say, over 150mph - due to better aerodynamics (e.g. fully flat under-tray, rear diffuser, no wing) and its power advantage. IIRC, the RS is factory rated at 193mph top speed, the F430 at 196mph. Both fantastic cars and more speed/acceleration than anyone really needs on the street.

True, but the RS will rattle my bones while the 430 will swaddle me in Italian leather. Much more fun for a street car.

I will still have a nice, smelly, monoball suspensioned track car to shake me up when needed.

Agreed, Since I bought my M3 Race Car my GT3 has seen little track time. Still love the car just a bit too obnoxious for the street.

If I had the funds I'd forgo the GT3 in favor of a 430. Just a better street sex toy IMO..
