That was a good day. We did not really get caught didn't we?
Will never do it again..

G load light truck tires seem the only ones that will last.

That's the beauty of going solo, you fly under the cop radar so to speak. I'm sure it would be a lot more fun with all your buddies though. It's extremely difficult to restrain oneself on those roads.

Peter can you run "G" truck tires without issue? I thought that was a no no.

It was an option on our 44' enclosed trailer. 100PSI cold, enough rubbber to re-grove, but I buy new ones at $300+ each when needed, in 200K miles I have bought 4, 2 are still original.

I guess for your trailer E rated is also overkill, but that is what you want. No more driving with one eye on the morror ;-) The 6 truck tires are E rated, 70PSI and they are OK as well. I did add 12 tire PSI monitoring system in cab, so you know you have a flat before they explode.

I fear you guys painted a giant bullseye on the back of all GT3's running The Dragon for years to come...

^^^ You guys were driving too slow..

Seriously though It was the quicker way back to ATL.. I thought it was a cop directing traffic for a school or something.. Nope it was a Road Block in-place "to catch a group of Porsches racing at a high rate of speed"..

So should I ask if the directions I gave you guys were accurate? (I can always add "watch out for road block") in the next update........ :-)

At those speeds you can use those words at the end of each section!
We drove 400 miles that day. I have personally seen 147Mph on my Traqmate while you see a few GT3's pulling away from me hard on camera
Great footage, but too scared to make video public.

While not on the actual "dragon", we did run a hill climb event a few miles away near Robbins-ville. The course was called "the road to no where" by the locals. Not maintained well like the real tail of the dragon but that made it very challenging.

There are so many great roads in that area. Such a fun place to visit in a nice car.

Wow Dean, glad you got to the side of the road safely!
Yea, friggin trailer tires, I've heard the same thing replace them every 3 years regardless of condition.
