Code needs to be modified, specifically the rev limit/ranges in the file. At that point you may as well just get the tuning done at the same time. You can enable left foot braking, accelerated throttle response and other goodies. It's easy to remove the ECU as well:

Easy unless you have a roll bar in the way that is:P

The other option is to have two separate ROM chips and true dual-ECUs- one as stock and the other as modified. You could code two ECU's or do something like we did with two chips in one box so to speak:

Only if you make a mistake. Stock 10,11 cup is 8500 RSR is 9K+
