just wanted to chime in here that the 6:1 ratio has to work as a percent, not as a fixed rule regardless of original mass of the car. Maybe with a 5000 pound car the ratio is 6:1

In 2008 I was part of the UPS supercup / Carrera cup team in Germany, the only difference from from the super cup to the carrera cup cars were the pccb brakes were on the supercup cars and the steel brakes were on the carrera cup cars...they have the same power/torque, same suspension, (difference in weight was due to the brake rotor weights,) same drivers..(Raggi & Holzer) the supercup cars were faster in acceleration, better at braking and handling...they were faster cars.
We tested Pccb brakes in a carrera cup car for long distance racing at the Nurburgring with Raggi, I set up the car....Raggi's reports.....the car is much better, most noticeable in the brakes.
Sure the braking efficiency is better with pccb but when it comes to the data we have, reducing the unsprung weight has a very noticeable effect!
