We buy them for Fun Factor, if we wanted laptime, we all would be driving GTR's or Boosted 997TTS with PDK torque verctoring etc. etc.

It might not all be true for the GT3! It remians to be seen. They added aluminum to base cars, but the GT3's already have it. More power remains to be seen as well in GT3. The weight distribution numbers rear to front axle I have not seen yet for the base 997 V S991.

Don't worry, I've hit 200mph dozens of times, but all were genuinely on either autobahns or on airfield runways.
