TIRE OPTIONS for 997 GT3 19 in OEM wheels
Could use advice from experienced 997 GT3 owners.
My tires need replacement soon... I will continue to use the 19 in wheels on the car...
...for 50-50 road and track use should I stick with stock tire sizes (235/35/19 and 305/30/19)? or are there common '+1' sizes that do well, are readily available, and do not create clearance or TPMS issues? I would run roughly 2 degrees neg camber front and rear.
I assume the answer to the above query would apply to both 7.1 and 7.2 models (leaving aside the CL wheels)... OEM wheel offsets are the same either way yes?
Thanks in advance.

one size up on front (245/30/19) with correct alignment (more camber 2'+) and top strut mounts spun. OEM (305) rear or you will rub.
50/50 road track- (or just road bias) Super Sports.
If your balance goes towards track- Cup2's.

I have AD08R. I like the stiffer side wall. Ok in rain too. If you drive more street then MPSS. Have used both in standard sizes on oem wheels. 997.1 GT3

researching tires now and as we all know its quite hard to find Michelins. What is a good street tire that will do well on the track as well? RE050A's? On my previous car i had Hankook Ventus v12's and liked them on the street but havent had a chance to track them. I see ADV08R's listed as well but may not care for a overly stiff sidewall.

Plus 1 refers to wheel/tire combo... Clearly not what you meant. So much available in stock sizes, no reason to change contact patch and lose flexibility/availability. You can futz around with sway bars and alignment. If you don't have any concerns about Porsche N-rating, and drive in the rain, then MPSS are meant to be great. I've got N-rating concerns with .2 GT3, so I've got RE050A which are fine all around, but give up the ghost rather quickly on a hot track day.

I just went through this exercise for my 997.1 GT3, which is mostly a street car with some track and autocross mixed in. I couldn't find Super Sports or RS3's, so I ended up with AD08R's. I've only put a few miles on them but they don't feel overly stiff at all.
