Don't forget the mileage on yours is higher and therefore harder to sell.

For us track rats a built car is better, like my car. When I bought from Izzone she already had Stoptech STR brake kit, CS roll bar and SW bypass on it
hi. I was wondering why you think the market will tank later this year? what do you feel the price of a, say 25k miles 997 GT3 would be in 3 years? I want to buy one of these cars badly, but I have to wait until after my MBA and a condo, so I'm guessing that'll be about 3 years. Thanks in advance

The reason is simply there will be 12x (can't remember the number exactly but its 120 something) 4.0 GT3 RS will be brought in to the country and most of these people are likely to own a GT3 or RS already. So their cars will end up on the market for sale and being more stock on the lots the price will be forced to go down...

I have no clue what the prices will be in 3 years, but give me a call and I can sell you mine

yeah, I'm hoping with the influx of the 991 GT3's at that point, people will be offloading their 07's at around what the 04's go for now ie mid to high fifties. I will give you a call if you still have yours (assuming it's in good shape-I'm sure you take care of it) thanks!

If they drop to the mid fifties, I will take two please

For what ever it is worth, I don't see these cars dropping in to the mid fifties anytime soon. However, there are two big things occuring at the same time that will drive the market down. 1) The new 4.0's which will create an abnormally high level of pre-owned 07-11 inventory. 2) The economy and stock market will likely keep some buyers on the sidelines. Simpy put, there are dynamics of higher supply and lower demand converging. I still don't see the mid fifties, but maybe as much as $10K down from where we are now.

hi,
thanks for the reply. Perhaps mid 50's is wishful thinking I don't want to exceed 60k, I suppose if the USD continues to tank against the canadian (I live in Canada) the exchange rate would be such that a 63k car in 3 years would be 60k or so canadian

Why do you suppose that the '6 GT3's have gone down to mid fifties when their list price was only 4k or so less than the '7 GT3's?

A lot of people think that the styling strays too far from the traditional. The 996 has no hips and the headlamps are an odd shape.

Regarding the white GT3 RS on Ebay. Do the 2010 GT3 RS's have the new center wheel lock ? Also, this appears to be an early GT3 RS version and lacks (I think ?) the dynamic engine mounts as well as the front lift system (?).

It's a .1 RS so no lift, engine mounts, sport buckets or CLs. Also, it's a 3.6 rated at 430-hp.
