Thanks Andrew, did you drive Daytona yet, you are going next week right?
It's a fun track, but bring new tires and check them every session. Temps, PSI (+4PSI) and wear.

I pulled on Mike pretty good but the Grady's '10 GT3 and John '10 RS (Ran a 2.019!) were pulling me pretty good on the straights, etc!

Yes absolutely it pulls me. He is about 5mph faster out of the bus stop comparing the speedo on his video than me. However around NASCAR 3-4 I'm flat to the floor and he walks right buy and above 150ish he really pulls. GTS is 408hp 312tq

For those of us that lack the talent and skills demonstrated above, I like to say, "Break out the hardware...."

Using the GPS speed, the fastest lap was 181.2 on the front straight....

No, just a very low IQ. One of my favorite parts of the video is at the beginning in the first horseshoe, number 103 in the red turbo has his front right wheel completely off the ground for maybe 30 yards, I was hypnotized by it, and wish it showed better on the youtube vid, very cool happening right in front of me at the angle it did and for so long.... For some reason the OBD data stops around 160 for the speedo, it just freezes, the GPS gontinues up to 181.2.

Video from my first ever day at Daytona. I had traffic in every lap, but fast traffic.

In this video I'm running behind a C6 Z06, trakcar's GT3 RS 3.8, Grady's 2010 GT3 (faster on straights than trakcar's GT3 RS 3.8), and John in a 2010 GT3 RS with a nice powerkit and Hoosiers. These 3 GT3 came to Daytona with the bumper winglets from the 4.0RS, all of them looked nice!!!

The GT3 and GT3 RS were capable to be on full gas up to the start/finish line, I had to slow down as my Fiat did not have the grip at those speeds. The GT3 will gain on me at T4 as well, but I could catch them under braking, and through the bus stop, plus the extra real ponies in the Fiat help.

These are my laps from my last session on day 1.

Top Speed (Traqmate) before Bus Stop on the weekend: 169.98 mph. I did not lift on this section.

Top Speed before Start/Finish line on the weekend: 176.43 mph. With more rear end grip (stickier tires, or better alignment), I could stay longer on the gas.

The car had a 2:00.188 TBL despite of lifting early on the main straight. The car is capable of 1:59s on these MPSC tires (I don't like them), 1:57s on R6, and 1:55s on slicks. I ran with 200 lbs of extra weight, due to going back to my stock muffler, my stock battery, and running the fuel tank at the top (156 lbs fuel tank) due to fuel starvation issues.

This racetrack is easy on brakes. Plenty of fun, but next time I would drive the Cayman.

Fun Video, awesome Rad!

Grady in the GT3, he was drafting me all weekend or vice versa, he was very entertaining to follow and absolutely a better drover then me! He was on the same tires as you MPSC I believe.
At 8:40 my PP went bad....

I will look at my TBL when I get home, often it matches my best lap LOL...

Surely Mdrums has some video as well..
Grady had no camera on board I think.

Erik was slow this weekend, so his video and Traqmate "malfunctioned" I'm sure.
John, you have a video of a lap or 2?

nice video, rad!
peter saw you coming and gave the little red fiat the point-by, and let grady cop the bullinging! haha
tricky move on john though.....but you were a gentleman and let him back in when the 6 turbo blocked him.
good entertainment, thanks!

I am curious, is there a different alignment to run at daytona?

I have a DE the second weekend of December.

Tire issues once again scared me enough to highly recommend new tires and a new allignment.

Our springs are too soft it seems and the car just gets quashed into the road too much.
You need less camber, question is how much less. I ran -2.5 F and -1.7R and corded the inside right rear while others corded fronts. I ran zero toe front and 2mm each side rear and the car felt super stable at any speed.

This was on RA1's and I think the similar would work on Hoosier R6, normally R6 is -2.5 all around.

If you have them run new MPSC's, I would trust those the most.

Also 4 PSI - 6 PSI higher at least on the right rear tire, but I ran higher all the way around. Normally I shoot for 34 all around, for Daytona I ran 37/38 all around and riht rear 40 or higher.

Run a CUP lip and Max angle on the rear wing.

I did Daytona a couple years ago with the Fiat club. Fun track to do once a year. It's an experience to be there but not my favorite by any stretch.

Nick and I will be running there again with the Fiat club next weekend.

How were more or less identical cars pulling you on the straights? Is it your aero settings?

Did the dive planes stay glued on at 170?
